The new short film by the director Tamara Kotevska – “SOLO MODE”, will see its world premiere at the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival, in the festival’s official selection of shorts.
“SOLO MODE” is an independent short film inspired by the global COVID-19 pandemic and filmed in 2020 during quarantine and with restrictive preventive measurements in place, featuring a cast of a real-life, four-member family and a small film crew. Roles are played by actor Aleksandar Mikikj, his wife, harpist Vesna Mikikj, and their two children Ivo and Ena.
Producers’ slots for this film are signed by Tamara Kotevska and Ilija Tiricovski, with Pece Taleski from OXO Production [North Macedonia] and Ana Hashmi from The Corner Shop [USA] as Executive Producers, and Zeynep Atakan from Zeyno Film [Turkey] as Co-Producer. “SOLO MODE” is supported by the Film Agency of North Macedonia.
Tamara Kotevska is the only woman director from North Macedonia with double Academy Awards nominations for the documentary feature “Honeyland”, co-directed with Ljubo Stefanov. Sarajevo Film Festival this year will be held from 13 – 20 August 2021.
