“The Adventures of a Turbo-Folk Princess” part of the Sarajevo Film Festival
The TV series in development “The Adventures of a Turbo-Folk Princess” by authors Andrej Volkashin and Petar Vulchev, and produced by OXO, will be part of the CineLink Drama program at the 29th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival from August 12 to 18. During the program, the authors and producers of the series will have the opportunity to present the project to film and television professionals, producers and distributors from all over Europe.
The series follows the adventures of the charming and clumsy girl Vaska in fulfilling her dream of become a Balkan music star, mentored by the short-tempered manager Ebony. This television project, which has been developing for the past 2 years, has already had a successful presentation at an international film forum in Budapest, where it attracted the attention of producers and selectors of programs from Central and Eastern Europe.
“The Adventures of a Turbo-Folk Princess” is a series we have been working on for quite some time and we are very excited to have the opportunity to present the project at the Sarajevo Film Festival, as a leading regional event, as we believe that this project has full capacity for regional coproduction and success. – says the producer of the series, Pece Taleski.
CineLink Drama is a specially designed program in conjunction with CineLink Industry Days in order to help the regional television industry by presenting quality projects in development, but also by bringing together professionals from different fields, such as screenwriting, production, directing and broadcasting.
